A research student in Africa stumbles upon a miracle remedy for AIDS. The narrator, through a chance meeting, is recruited to assist in developing the product. The critical ingredient is a controversial substance. He must convince opponents of the need for expediency for the wider benefit. He embarks on a 'Pilgrim's Progress' through 21st Century cynicism and self interest. Expecting to be welcomed with open arms, he encounters disbelief, obstruction and antagonism from the establishment. As new information emerges, his idealistic quest becomes a desperate race against time. At stake are maybe the lives of millions of human beings.

Fascinating read - thrilling and thought provoking!       Rated by Guest   - 4/3/2007
De Falthier takes us on a journey through 21st. Century greed, self-interest and cynicism while retaining our interest with a wholly believable if fantastic plot. The settings in Africa and Europe are authentic and informative. Doubts raised about the motives of environmental campaigners in the 1980s are just as relevant today in respect of the Global Warming obsession. A thoughful book made easy to digest by an excellent story line.
